Introduction

This cover proposal is a visual reinterpretation of the classic "O Alienista" by Machado de Assis. The work tells the story of a doctor who opens an asylum in the quest to explore the mysteries of human madness.
Concept

The idea was to use the silhouette of the author himself, Machado de Assis, with a labyrinth on his face as a representation of his journey through madness. On his shoulder, the psychiatrist from the plot investigates him, symbolizing the exploration of intricate mysteries. On the back cover, we present the green house a reference to the asylum in the story, with an aesthetic from the colonial period, contextualizing the plot in the historical moment in which it unfolds.
In conclusion, thank you for dedicating your time and attention all the way to the end. Thank you!
